We are fine, we left town as soon as school was done. We headed down the highway with a sheet of black rain behind us, and arrived home in torrential downpour, but it was home. This morning, we can see where all of the usual flood areas have flooded, and more. There are landslides everywhere on the Lady Young Road, and the mud is turning into dust.
A child died last night after her home in St. Anns was swept down the hill, and Christmas doesn't look so good for farmers.
And this afternoon, it will rain again. Government ministers will act surprised and talk of "Acts of God".
And so life will go on.
